Building Bicycles

For the trip across Eurasia, the plan is to take people with us who don‘t have their own bike — children, for instance, who would do a show with us in their neighboring town. So Markus and tyle built a recumbant tandem at Kesselberg using mostly renewable (wind) energy. Whoever sits in the back can play the accordion, read Russian vocabulary to the group, or massage the driver’s shoulders while cycling . . .

The first big test will be this winter, riding to and from the JUKSS – Youth Environmental Congress near Hamburg.
As of Dec. 4, 2009, it already has over 170 km under it’s wheels.
More test trips are being planned . . .
